Guard Detail/Firewatch Roster

2100 - 2300 :                                                                &

Sergeant of the Guard :                                                      

 

1.         Guard Detail/Firewatch will commence at 2100. (This can be adjusted as the         need dictates)

2.         Guard Detail/Firewatch will secure at 0600. (This can be adjusted as the need      dictates)

3.         Relief personnel will be awakened 15 minutes prior to their shift.

4.         Males will awaken males and females will awaken females ONLY.

5.         If relief personnel fail to report for duty, immediately notify the Sergeant of the    Guard (or the First Sergeant if no Sergeant of the Guard is assigned).

6.         Personnel will not quit their post until properly relieved.

7.         Sleeping on duty risks the safety of all personnel and WILL NOT be tolerated.

8.         Personnel going to the latrine between Taps and Reveille will be escorted by a             Guard/Firewatch.

9.         Personnel on Guard Detail/Firewatch are responsible for all Civil Air Patrol         property within their view.

10.       ALL UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS ENTERING/LEAVING THE AREA ARE     TO BE POLITELY CHALLENGED.

11.       In the event of a possible dispute between a Guard/Firewatch and a civilian, DO            NOT prolong the situation. Notify a Senior Member immediately and let them   resolve it.

12.       In the event of any other situations which the Guard/Firewatch is unable to          handle, immediately notify the Sergeant of the    Guard (or the First Sergeant if no Sergeant of the Guard is assigned).
